Artist: Amy Duran

Artist Background:

Amy Duran is currently a senior at California State University, Long Beach and she is acquiring a BFA major in Ceramics. Amy hopes in the future to land a job in entertainment and hopes to set up decorations and props for sets such as movies and plays. She has always admired art and has always taking an interest in art even since her early childhood.

Formal Analysis:

Amy’s art exhibit tells a story of her life growing up. It is shown from a perspective of a fairytale as she is growing to her adulthood. Her art can be seen portraying her meeting animals which represents her being exposed to society. Her art also contains some interactive pieces which really brings you into her world for this exhibit.

Content Analysis:

This gallery can be seen of Amy coming from and innocent perspective in her childhood. It can be seen through her art of her personal struggles of anxiety and trying to escape her inner feelings. As you can see growing older you can see her fight these issues and work toward being a strong and more power individual.
